That's great John. Glad I was able to help you out.
Come to think of it,in 5 years I don't remember them ever asking me to turn them on. I won't remind them either.
Sorry to say things came up and Josh & I will be MIA.

Well, we posted right at 275 miles and really had a terrific time! I think I won the bug contest, but they are all history now. We left at 7:15 and got home around 4:30.
Thanks to all that helped to organize this trip: especially Steve for the maps and written instructions and Larry for his excellent "leading the pack"!
Here's some photos:
First pit stop,,,ahh what a relief it is.
The line up at Whiteright....Larry, let me out of the car!
Approaching Paris.
The famous lunch stop - Rio Verde
Damn that's good food.
Really Kristen, I don't try to always catch you with your eyes closed.
More good food and story telling!
Honest Officer, I wasn't speeding and no, there isn't any contraband in my trunk, see, look here.
So, it was great and I for one would like to do another. How about you?

Man am I tired. I should sleep well tonight.
After we left the pack for Rockwall, the shifting started to deteriorate. By the time we arrived home, the clutch stopped working and I had to pull it in garage in 3rd gear. I guess between the heat build up, and the clutch installed in November settling in, it's time to adjust the slave & fork.
I let the car cool all the way down, and she peed all over the garage floor. Looks like the upper radiator hose at the radiator fitting is the culprit.
I head to Texas World Speedway on Friday, so it looks as if I'll be under the car one night this week.
Great idea Jim W., and excellent at point Larry. It looks like Yancey and I are each going to invest in some BOSE noise canceling headphones. They worked like a charm, and I have no ringing in the ears, even after 200+ miles.
Thanks to all who participated.

sneezed another zillion times on the way home... eyes red and itchy, and my voice is funny.
as far as i know, i didn't eat any bugs. the windshield, hood, fans, scoop and anything else facing forward seemed to offer themselves as sacrifice so i wouldn't inadvertantly get any extra protein!!
great time. yup, when's the next one????

What A Great Time That Was. Perfect Temperature, No Sun, But Some How One Arm Got Sunburned. Since It Was The Left Arm It Might Have Been Wind Burn With The Speeds We Were Going.
Nathan's Car Did Great With The New Engine We Finished Putting In The Night Before. One Little Antifreeze Drip From A Freeze Plug Was It. What A Way To Break A New Engine In. The Oil Pan Sits Kinda Low So Nathan Was Pretty Busy Dodging Turtles.
Hey Jim In Those Pictures You Posted Was That Girl Taking A Picture Of My Butt?
Thanks To Everyone That Put It Together And I Can't Wait Until We Do It Again.

Dittos on a GREAT DAY!!!
When we got home the passenger door opened & we ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER the damn door wouldn't open in Paris.
Lots of bugs, loads of laughs, & let's do it again. How about a cruise to Waxahachie or to Bridgeport, Decatur with a lap around the new Eagle Canyon track?

Man..............WHAT A DAY!! As tail gunner I could see everyone (most of the time) and what a great sight it was. Little 22 run perfect all day and also collected a large bug display. Really fun trying to keep up with Matt on the way home (he likes bikers). I had a blast and wouldn't take anything for the day. Thanks to all of you for being a part of it.
P.S. Special thanks to Jim W., Steve and Larry.........You did GOOD
