Default FYI AustinCobraClub June meet info

Richard Bassemir posted the following on our chapter forum-

"I talked to Mike today and heard a few of you connected up at Rudy's.
Cool. Sorry I missed out so I am willing to take the initiative and
try to set up something for June.

Here is my suggestion. June 16th at the Cracker Barrel in Round Rock.
It is at exit for Texas 29. The exit number is 261. The Cracker Barrel
is on the south bound service road.

Let's meet at 10 AM. Have a late breakfast or brunch. Depending on
weather and interest we might want to take a cruise west on 29.

I have put this on my calendar and hope it fits with a few of you out
there so I don't eat alone. :-)"

nah...damn carburetor had a leak from one of the bowls and it turns out that the thread for the inlet was stripped. (Guess that will teach me to accept 'gifts' from friends...should have bought a new one, what's a few hundred dollars more now LOL ???) I can't get another bowl until Monday!!!!! BUT I did figure out why it wouldn't start...we had the firing sequence completely wrong. I have read a whole bunch of threads on this forum about 351 and 302 firing sequences, so I am not alone in the confusion. Turns out I had the 351 firing sequence (which is also that for later 302s), and I should have had the original 302 sequence.

Hold your breath for me on Monday, and I will see if I can get that stainless cut for you over the weekend. You can add it at ANY time later, so it should be fine.

Rain looks pretty likely tomorrow morning so the cars may not make the meet.
But if your still coming for brunch....we have a suggestion-especially for those of us newer members who don't know everyone else very well. It would be beneficial if you would sport a piece of your Cobra apparel to make yourselves more noticeable. Hope to see you there.

Mike

It was great to meet y'all this morning. We won't be able to be at the July meet if it is on July 14 as we will be on a plane to Florida. We will catch up with y'all in August. I hope the weather is better for the next meet.
