I would love to join you all, and follow in the Mustang, or bum a ride with someone, but I did not get finished with my Patio last weekend and at the rate it is going, I won't be finished this weekend either. Hope ya'll have a fun cruise and maybe I'll get to meet some more of you next luncheon.

Minor errata :D
Larry, isn't it a *left* turn off Hwy 34 onto Hwy 55 at Avalon? Just tracing it on the map here to see where the heck this trip was going
Don't forget us a nice juicy fuel stop! Everybody please top off before the start, too!

Larry,
Did you change the time to 8:00 AM? There goes quality sleep in time.

Sammy...You are right regarding the correction in the directions..."Turn left at Avalon on to FM 55 and proceed past Lone Cedar"...thanks for the correction.
Okay, for the rest of you sleepy heads we can meet at 8:30 am and leave at 9:00 am...So plan on this new time frame. We are going to have to haul A$$ in order to get to Waxahachie by 11:00 for lunch before the church crowds.
About 120 miles in two hours with a gas and potty stop and a photo opp.
I believe we have 5 cars so far: Parkers 2, Seitz 1, Sammy 1, Coupe 1. Where is everyone else? GT's are welcome...GT500's too, Kristen (you wimp) and Hey Jay, pull one of those units out of your inventory, grab Dee and join us.
How about the Waco bunch...you always said that you wanted to do a road trip. Hope to see lots of cars Sunday...until then think Sunshine!!!

My playing status has gone from Questionable to Doubtful.
Put the alternator in and the belt position doesn't line up right. I think I have a fix, but just another little setback.
And still don't know why she's overheating. Going to try a new thermostat.

Fall Cruise
Hello all,
Nancy and I would love to participate in your Fall Cruise, but have previous commitments for Sunday.
The Gobra was completed last month and will go to the painter in a few weeks. It was built on the Lone Star Classics Vacation Home Build. I already have over 1,000 miles registered and loved every mile.
Any information available about your group would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Jody and Nancy Orsag

Welcome Jody and Nancy!
You are in the Texas sub-forum, so this is where the Dallas area Cobra folks stay in touch. We do not have a separate web site like the Austin and Houston groups. DCC meets monthly at a different restaurant each time, on the first Saturday. Watch this sub-forum for the details a few days ahead of time. There is no published calendar We'd love to meet you and all newcomers at the next meeting on Nov 3rd. You do not need to be driving a Cobra to attend If the weather is ugly, we'll all be in our daily drivers anyway.
In March, actual date TBD, plan on attending the statewide Cobra rally in Austin (Roundrock Marriott). Easy for you, since you are halfway there already! Food, fun, people, cruise, socialize (repeat daily for three days).

Sam,
Thanks for the reply.
We will be in Ft. Worth the week-end of the 3rd of November at the NASCAR races. The race on Saturday starts at 2:30. We will try to work out something so we can attend your club event as well as the race.
Thanks again, we are looking forward to meeting and getting to know you all.

Pic.s from Fall Cruise
We met at 8:30 at McD's Town East Mall and took off from there. Here are a few snaps of our adventure. Enjoy!
Six exceptional machines, two brand new additions...both beautiful, one kinda traditional with Red Stripes and the other Red and radical.
Ssssammy's new ride...ready for the track and loads of looks and fun!
A new Hurricane with truly a unique paint scheme...check out the tail. There's a muted viper that adds to the appeal.
Awsome Parker Power!
Are we ready??? Elaine, just back from Spain is about to partake in some real American cuisine.
Photo opp at the Draggs in Ennis...didn't have time for any runs.
' had to find parking in Waxahachie...on the square for lunch.
What's the sign on the window say???????? Hehehehe
Great weather, good friends, fast cars, home cookin' at the Chilsom Grill all add up to a super day!!!

Smokin paint scheme, Richard and Nathan. Do I see a little pearl undercoat ? Congratulations to the Parker Power Team.
We are all really envious of those able to make the cruise. The weather was tremendous today !!

congrats to Sam and Nathan for getting those pretty new babies out. Looks like a really nice cruise, and what a perfect day! Now the rain and wind and cool temp has rolled in.
At 8 am as i stretched to wake up, i THOUGHT about coming by and giving ya'll a nice send off.... but nah....... played catchup from my hectic weekend.
Maybe another one sometime.
k
ps I absolutely LIVE on that street- 50 times a day! I'm at the chickfila across from the McD's at least twice a week.
Town East Mall. trash mall of Big D, but hey, it's got a Macy's and Dillard's.
