Can't Make It!!!
Paul,
Was planning on coming to CC this year..........but, alas the water pump has gone out on my car.
Can't find a replacement...........sent old one in for rebuild........haven't heard back on status of that yet.
Dove has a new billet aluminum pump for the SOHC but they are out of stock until the next run is scheduled in December.
If the old one is not rebuildable then I am out of commission until December.
Going to miss the fun..........maybe next year!!!!

Paul,
I'm not going to have the Lone Star street legal by this weekend, if I decide to come anyway is there a problem with me running along in my Corvette?

ok gang
looks like it will be a beeaauuuutiful weekend!!!!!! if you are coming from out of town here are some directions.
to get to snapka's on friday you will be coming in on I-37 heading towards corpus christi. exit navigation and turn right. go about 1/3 of a mile or so and you will see leopard st. turn left on leopard. go maybe 1/4 mile and you will see snapka's on your left.
for the hotel you will stay on I-37 until you reach downtown. turn right on water street. go maybe 1/2 mile and you will see the hotel on your right. the city diner is across the street.
sames crowe ford is on ayers street. if you are coming in on spid/nas you will take the ayers exit. when you reach ayers turn left, go under the expressway and the dealership will be about 1/2 mile on your left. if you are coming in on crosstown expressway exit on golihar. turn left and go under the expressway and you will reach ayers. turn right on ayers and the dealership will be about 1/2 mile on your right.

Richard,
Take the ones you have to OSH or Home Depot and size them up. Screws are cheap enough to buy a couple different sizes that might work (better than multiple trips to the store). Just be sure they are not too long or that may be an even worse misadventure (cracked windahield). I have a pair of wire strippers that have some holes with threads made to cut screws to length which I find helpful when you just need that oddball size. Good luck.
