First Track Day for Me!
Went up to Hallet with the MVPTracktime bunch this last Monday. Great group of guys and gals .. all kinds of cars showed up. Split 32 cars into two groups based on experience. Perfect place for me to wring the car out and learn how it behaves. Instructors were there and one rode a session with me. Could not break the car .. put about 200 mi on it .. very hard miles Was amazed at the grip of the Goodyear Billboards! Compound is soft like racing tires .. well, duh! All I came away with was a case of "tire boogers"
Looking forward to some Eagle's Canyon track days, hint, hint ..

Don't take MY word for it Sam,
but if you didn't break it, you weren't pushing hard enough!!!
It IS addictive! Even though I tore mine up a little, I'm SO addicted. Can't wait to get it out there again. Hallett's a blast and I can't wait to experience some other area tracks.
There's nothing like when the tires are heated up, you're hitting your marks, the car is setting and you just wheel around the turns. Like a rollercoaster on rails!
Congrats for not tearing up your new mistress!

Sammy...Hurry! Don't look back! Go directly to your Doctor and see if there is any shot, injection, imunization for the highly contagious desease you have just exposed yourself to Monday at Hallett. The symptoms are usually noticable anytime during the day or night when you get that thousand yard stare and your head starts leaning one way then the other...you hear that sound, you feel the G force, you have to hurry out to your garage to get just one more look.
Welcome to the sickness. Glad to hear that you are infected. This isn't like learning to ski...you don't have to fall down to learn (Miles).
Glad to hear you had a great initiation!

Infected at RnG 2006!
Bill, that's where I was infected I went as a spectator in 2006, mooched rides on parade laps, crewed for HLC. Had my hotel reservations this year and just could not get the car done in time .. missed by about two weeks Will definitely show up in 2008
Here's a memory for you ...

Sammy,
I really like your color choice on your Cobra, are those ORANGE stripes? I will be holding a spot for you next year at Run and Gun.
I was thinking about doing a (if anyone remembers) something in a 1966 Mustang Competition Orange with Cream Stirpes-Coupe maybe or Cobra.

Clois!
ERA 745's colors are "2007 Viper Bright Silver" and "2007 Viper Red" The red saturates most monitors. When I was at RnG last year, I was struck by Morris' bright red striped aluminum car. That was my inspiration for the combo. But it's just red red red, no orange to it. If you remember the James Yale #44 Coupe red, that was the same color code.
