Jim.... don't know why you and John can't come on over for lunch... he doesn't live that far from Cafe Brazil.
Don't have to be there til 11 or so.
ok guys, I have a problem.
An old neighbor of ours in Terrell passed away. yup.... we're all sad.
David was going to go to the funeral (it's at 11 in Terrell), then pop back to #3's game at 1. You know, the quick in and out at a funeral routine. I was thinking i wasn't going to go at all, but rather bring #3 to the lunch with me, then head on to her game. all works out, right??
welllll..... he's been asked to be a pall bearer. Quite honored, but really messes up the day for us.
what do ya'll think??
I think now that his status has been moved up from 'old neighbor/friend' to PALLBEARER I 'should' go..... ugh.
so..... if my moral obligation wins out, I won't be at the lunch.
$hit it is always something!!
taking a poll/opinion here.
1. go to cobra lunch
2. go to funeral

The funeral of someone you were once close to only comes around once and our little get-togethers are monthly.
Go to the funeral.
We do miss you but these little curve balls that life sometimes throws at us don't come around THAT often.

Since I missed the December and January get together I`ll make this one.
I do have one request.
Anybody who`s going that has a Hurricane, would it be asking to much if you would bring your build manual with you so I could take a glance at it?
Not to take it home, just to thumb through it there and see what I`m looking at getting myself into.

I called Café Brazil and told them we would be there at 10:30 and we would plan on eating about 11:00. They do not take reservations so who ever gets there first check in with the manager so she can arrange our tables, I told her about 20 / 24 people.

10:30 it is.....or thereabouts
We are currently planning on being there around 10:30 +/- but with traffic coming North on Central you never know.....
John & Mary
ps. Gary, do you mind being in charge of the $$ for the Dallas group Friday evening feed at the Austin TCC meeting again? I think getting a head start will get us ahead of the curve and those planning to go next month can start making any voluntary donations they see fit.
Thanks,
JR

What a Great day we had yesterday!!
OH YEAH!!!!!!!
Man, what a beautiful day we had & about 40 people or so turned out for the meeting. Matt Tice stepped up to the plate yesterday to be in charge of the donations for the Dallas Friday night parking lot TCC supper in Austin at the March event and I have agreed to help him with it. We all appreciate those who contributed yesterday so we have a good start! Anyone else from Dallas that is going to make the TCC event next month please feel free to chip in anything you feel comfortable with.
John, nice pictures you posted!!!!!!!!!
If you haven't booked your room or posted on the new TCC web site Chris has developed for us, please do so as soon as you can.
Man, it was a BLAST driving the Cobra again,
John & Mary Russell

It was good to get out and meet a few more people. As I tell everyone I am bad with names, so please forgive me for not remembering, but I want to thank the 2 guys who offered to let my son sit in their cars for pictures. It really made his day. He was still talking about driving the race cars this morning, as well as letting the lady borrow his shoes.

I finally pulled the pictures off of my camera, and I realized John Russel makes it easy to remember his name. It is on his car Thank you again for letting my son be a race car driver. He looks like he is seriously checking all the gauges and getting ready to go.
First car he got to sit in, I couldn't get him to sit still long enough to take a good picture. He was just too excited.
