Looking good! It's the only Chevy I'd ever think about owning.
I salute you for keeping our economy going!

Thanks Miss TCC08 and guys Sssally is all smiles .. and no drips yet. But I put three trays under her in case she gets excited and leaks a little .. engine, tranny, and of course, rear end Been chasing a mystery leak, oil from somewhere ..
So here is the in-house solution to "can my Cobra really walk a C6?" Hmmmmm? Thinking ...
The guy at Chebby told me they use nitrogen for inflating the tires .. you've got to be kidding, right? Well, I like it .. gonna drive it to work every day .. life is too short

Sammy,
I have the Corsa exhaust system, touring edition with quad SS tips, I took off of my white C6 that I would sell cheap. They would make your new silver economy car sound like a real sports car. Not like Sally’s FE but much better than that stock pansy a……s Corvette sound.

Sam,
I was wondering, what is the height of of the ceiling in the garage? I ask because I would like to do something similar in my garage.

There are lots of threads on four post lifts here. Do a search 4 post lifts and you will find a lot of information. Very helpful. I would recommend Direct lift. Mine works great.

Bwana, this car has the ZPP exhaust option .. vacuum activated bypass .. I would not have ordered it, but it was on the car. It's fine for an economy car .. I have a car that roars pretty good already
Marc, garage is 10'3", I had to replace the stock 7' high door with a 9' and move the track up two feet. The track is about 12" from the ceiling. Vette is 49", bottom of lift rail is 54" at that locking tab, and the Cobra is 47". There is about 3" left over at the top to clear the door opener. You could get another 6" by moving the opener to the side or not using one, and another 6" by setting the track 6" from the ceiling.
This is a DirectLift ProPark 7, now superceded by the ProPark8.

Sammy, I have the same exhaust on my 2008 and like you I would not have ordered the option but to get the color and the other options I wanted on the car I pretty much had no choice. It seems like when they get to a certain point adding options they just go ahead and throw in the kitchen sink. After having both systems the Corsa exhaust is defiantly much better both performance and sound wise.
Did you get the Z51 handling package?
Economy, defiantly much more so than our Cobras people have a hard time believing almost 30 mpg on the highway in 6th gear.
And I failed to earlier congratulations, very nice looking set of wheels. Yes you can enjoy both worlds.
Gary

Bwana
Thanks, Gary .. no Z51 .. this is a stripper .. just has the paddle shift, perf exhaust, chrome wheels, and 2LT interior (sport seats). Also has optional 2.73 performance axle. So how is it that they think a 2.73 is the performance axle when the stock axle is a 3.42? I need to go read up on that, didn't find that out till this am.

John, I'd like to add a GT500 to my collection .. maybe tell Mary Beth it's a Lexus coupe and get rid of her RX I just had to get a small car because there is not sufficient height in the Cobra garage for anything taller than a Vette.
Anyway, it has the 6.2L motor like the Escalade, and more HP and TQ than the Escalade, and bigger tire patch, so don't you think I can pull the 20' Cobra hauler with it? That would sure be nice .. take both cars to Hallett in June Don't know .. maybe when I latch the spring bars on the hitch the rear of the car would come off the ground
Gary, I figured out the axle ratio .. got on to digitalcorvettes.com (looks just like CC) and they say the stock axle for an auto is 2.56, and the "performance axle" is a 2.73, which is the Z51 axle that is supplied with automatics.
Now I'm gonna quit talking about Vettes here .. before I get blackballed

Sammy,
I aired up Katrina's tires with helium. When Keith gets her powerplant assembled, she should take off like gail force winds, scratch that... hurricane force winds.
Great to see Jay chiming in.
