New T.I.T. Request - June 21st
All,
Well it seems I finally have all of the parts to drop my motor in... wanted to see if anyone maybe interested in a quick dropping party.
Since the weather is a bit warm... we can do the job around 9/9:30 am then toss some burgers on the grill afterwards for lunch
I do need someone with a welder... I have to fix my side pipes as the bracket broke off... plus my headers need a bit of modification to get the swedge to seal better I don't have to complete this portion of the project this weekend... figure it is going to take me a while to get every thing else bolted back together

Chris,
We pulled a friends brand new engine from the Engine factory last night (I think it had about 15 or 20 minutes on it when it spun a bearing) but we will be doing an install in a couple of weeks. I think we are going to copy your acronym and make it the Tulsa Install Team. However, since Texas is so much bigger than us you guys can be the Big T.I.T. group. I wish I could help but I am sure you will have plenty of help for your install. The Texas Cobra Club are the best to help one another.

Joe,
Are you saying that Clois and his group are just replicas? Are you going to sue for something?

I think he is but if it gets right down to it there are way more replica's than real ones ...no matter what we are talking about. How are you Ron!

Oh No! If we add a welder to the title...Texas Welding/InstallationTeam...does that make us T.W.I.T.'s???? Or Big TWIT's ??? Forget it! I prefer the Real T.I.T.!!! How about you???

Clois,
I should have taken you up on your offer last Friday to pull the Mustangs engine. Gerald didn't have room to store the car, and he didn't have time to pull the engine. So after I return from vacation, I'm pulling the engine and driving to OKC to drop off the Saturday after July 4th. I still have 2 month before the next race, so no big hurry.
But I did order a new carburetor. Me go much faster now.....
I'll keep you informed when CVAR returns to Hallett in the fall.

Out of commission
I am out of commission for a while. I got a new radius head and a couple of ligaments in my right elbow this week. Don't think I will be up for a T.I.T. job for awhile.

Chris, I can make it. Check with John D. "the welder" PM me with your address. I like bacon and cheese with clean tomatos, mustard, sauteaed onions, lettuce, and pickels on toasted buns, with an ice cold Bud Light.

I got to thinking about the size of Chris' T.I.T. job, the skinny frame challenge that Miss JBL poses, and missing out on the company of the other surgeons... I am motivated and what Larry is having sounds good.
Took care of half my errands tonight... other half arranged for tomorrow night.
I will see you Saturday; include me on the PM address list.

You guys should have it all done in about 2 hours. Of course there is the celebration that will occur once everything fits and starts. That could last for hours and hours.
Good luck to all.

Chris,
I can't make it in the morning as the boys have soccer practice from 9-10:30. I might be able to make it before the food so please pm me with your address. I have a welder and you are more than welcome to use it. If you don't want to weld it yourself I can do it for you but I am not a pretty welder by any means. If you have some welding that has to be done before the engine drop call me and we can set something up in the early morning.

Chris,
Hope you got the engine back in today. Sorry I could not make it. We had company from out of town staying. I can come by and weld your side pipe bracket any time you are ready just let me know.

the tigher the better is what they tell me
yea you missed all of the fun. It was a long day as the JBL is really tight.
And John Ross was correct I did have to lift the engine a bit to get the headers installed
If you have time tomorrow I am trying to borrow a neighbor's welder...but I have to admit I have never welded before... maybe ugly
