Eagle Canyon Open to the Public
It looks like ECR is opening the track to the public once a month. I would like a tune up before RnG...If not just to bed brakes and scuff some slicks.
Who else might be interested????

Probably .. it looks like they have not set the Aug or Sep dates yet. Do you know? The Jul 26th date is kind of a push for me. I'm in pieces at the moment, waiting new clutch disc.
I see they want it tech'd by a "qualified service technician" and fresh brake bleed, etc ... that means I'd have to sequence Rob in there between now and then.
Wondering if I ought to lose the OEM Camaro brake pads in front for some racing stuff, too.
Gotta extra set of 6 pin rims .. figuring out what to put on them for RnG. Can't find a good fitment for the ERA with Hoosiers, maybe GY slicks? Or G-7's like Miles? Of course could just order some more Billboards ..

On the ECR site...check "Upcoming Events" in left column for Aug. and Sept. dates. July and Aug. will probably be too hot for me...I'm looking at the Sept. date.
How did your brakes work at Hallett? You may not need to change anything...same type of tracking. Since you have a driver's side roll bar only, you may wish to see if you can run...with a co-pilot.

Brakes work best at Hallett when I stay off of them Yeah, they get a little soft when they get hot.
Good point on the instructor .. probably worth calling them about. The instructors at Hallet wouldn't ride in a single hoop Cobra. I could apply as intermediate, but wanted to run a session at least with an instructor.

Sam,
I couldn't give a stronger recommendation for the G7 Blue Streaks. Roger Kraus says its the same tire as the Billboard, with more tread! Not for wet weather at all, dangerous in fact, but I avoid that anyway so it works for me.
At Tulsa, it took until the last day to break them loose and when I finally did, they gave slowly and with lots of warning. It wasn't until then that I knew what was meant by "steering with the throttle." What a rush! These are the same tires Steve and the Vintage boys run on theirs.
Hey, this is my 1000th post. Well, pin a corn flake on me...

Ok, thanks for the recommendation, Miles! I'm kinda dismayed at how fast the billboards are going away. They have about 1500 mi and are half gone! Of course there are about 11 sessions at Hallett on them .. and lots of throttle steering
Chris, looking forward to seeing the JBL on the road!

Well, no promises of how long they'll last. I came home from Hallett with lots of tire boogers on them.
If I can get 5000 miles out of them (+/- 2 1/2 years) then I'll be happy.
1001.....
Joe, you're going after carpel tunnel.....

At least half of them are from the gallery though. I will take some time and look at pictures and comment on them and the next thing I know I have 100 more posts. I have asked lots of questions though.
