I’m in for the breakfast but will probably opt out of Lancaster and go over to Texas Motor Speedway instead and turn some laps with Sammy at TDX.

Going to TMS sounds like more fun. Will they let us hang out in the infield and watch?

Richard,
Yes, they like to have visitors; Don Barns and Jim Woodard will be there and they have bleachers right in the pit are, a refreshment stand and there is no admission charge.

Recap of Sat. Breakfast Meeting
We had about 8 Cobras including 1 Coupe and 22 members attend our brunch meeting at the Irving IHOP. Several drove their daily drives including Jay's new F-350 King Ranch diesel (Johnny Walker amber/red). As usual we attracted a lot of attention.
After brunch, several drove out to TMS to watch SSSammy do his Intro to Road Racing school. Jim W. was answering some speed questions from John and Parker Power...
Finally, there was discussion regarding loud exhaust notes creating an increase level of female testosterone...raising their level of sex drive (not mustaches) as reported in the Dallas Morning News.
Check out these two "Hotties"...
It's time now to prep the Coupe for Run'NGun. Sssammy and I will do you all proud as the DFW Duo...check out the new slicks on the beast.

Well John, y'all know that my Cobra is broke and I intended to do that school in it .. but had to take the C6 instead. I'm not really a Vette person .. it's just a work car .. hell there was a guy out there in a rented 6 cyl Mustang! I mean surely somebody coulda showed up in a Shelby GT 500 or KR or something classy.
We had a RX-7, a Maserati something or other, a 4 wheel drive Porsche Cab, A Jag S-Type R for crying out loud, and a half dozen C6's. And our good friend Jody Orsag was there with his gorgeous new Lone Star that was in KCB August issue.
The Vettes pretty much ruled .. one Z06 ate me up regularly. But the run flat tires were hard and greasy. db said to leave the stability control engaged .. so it was pretty much me against the Nanny. It cut my fuel off on just about every lap on the Carosel turn I LIKE to 4 wheel drift, and that's what the Cobra does. Can't do it in the Vette with the system on.
Ok, db says if the system has to save your a$$, then you are not driving correctly .. thank you sir .. no argument .. Anyway, I did not leave the track, came close .. and I understand there was some drama behind me with a yellow C6 that almost went wrong. Drove the paddle shift in manual mode .. 3rd gear most of the time .. some 2nd gear. Looked at the tires later, 300 AA's .. hardly any wear
Reyburn .. set of new Krause Goodyear Stock Car Specials mounted and sitting on the lift where the Cobra will be just as soon as KCM is done with it Waiting on Dr. Rob to get done poking around with her rear end ..
Oh yes, Bwana came out and ran his C6 with the new cockpit cams .. Gary, how did that do? Got any video?
It was good to see my DCC friends come out .. hope I didn't embarass
Sam

hey, looks like a lot of fun at the meet. Glad you had a good driving experience/practice at TMS. It is really neat getting on that track- especially the first time.
I need you (Sam) or Larry to do me a favor???? I would LOVE to have a patch and sticker/decal from Gateway. I was in St. Louis last weekend for a wedding, but just could not get out to the track --as i intended-- to get those. If by chance ya'll are there and they have the 'gift store' open or such, would somebody get me that???
thanks!
Kristen
