If you are planning to attend the Ford Meeting in Tulsa June 24th through June 28th, 2009...You should be already registered NOW!

Go to www.midamericafordmeet.com/ and reserve a room at the Southern Hills Marriott. There are only a few rooms left. You cannot book with the Marroitt directly, Mid-America has bought out the hotel and is selling "packages" that include all of the events.

A little clarification....Mid America is taking reservations for the EVENT ONLY. the only hotel reservations they are taking is for the HOLIDAY PACKAGES listed on the website which they make the reservations for you. General reservations will not be accepted at the hotel until after December

i just got an email from the Marriott, and evidently i booked for the wrong weekend.
I booked for the 3rd weekend (20th) and it is now the 4th??

I see by Larry's post he had it right, but when i made the reservation, and mentioned the 'shelby/ford meet' you would have thought someone would have caught it. So... the email from Marriott says the block of rooms is all sold out, but they can put me on the waiting list.'
yeah right. I guess i'll be out this year. oh well!!!

Thank you for your reservation for the weekend of June 20. The Mid American Ford/Shelby show is normally this weekend but in 2009, it is scheduled for the weekend of June 27. I don't know if you were coming in town for the show but if so, I wanted to let you know about the date. If you are coming in for the show, the room block at the hotel is sold out but I can put you on a waiting list. Overflow rooms are available at the Hilton but I know they were filling up quickly also.

I guess my biggest gripe is that the Shelby meet has changed the traditional weekend. And, second, that when i booked, the reservationist didn't say it was actually the next weekend.

I'm posting this in case anyone else got caught with the wrong date.
