State Champs for my boys!
well my boys varsity football team won the state championship yesterday! whoohoooo!!
First half, a nail-biter, at 9-7. (our favor )
Went on to blow it away at 44-13. Go chargers!
Nice way to finish the football season, 14-0.
Soccer starts monday for #1, Basketball for #2. It never ends!!
I'm sorry i missed the lunch AGAIN yesterday, but these state games are just becoming a habit! (lost last year; glad we won this time!)
Peter also got accepted to TCU last week, so we are happy at our house!
hopefully see ya'll soon.
loveya'll!!
K

Kristen, Congrats thats quite an accomplishment you must be elated to say the least. I know that feeling my boys played many sports over the years and my son was the first ever wrestling state champion from our town. I still watch the match on u tube often.

Kristen,
Congratulations are in order! Great way to start the Christmas season.
Sounds like it never ends for you - that is great - keeps life interesting
for sure. Also great to see Peter is planning ahead - it will make things
much easier for you.

Kristen,
Congratulations to the boys!!!!!!!!!
We are still in the hunt too. Lake Travis beat Killeen Saturday and they play Friendswood in College Station next Saturday. Winner of that game goes to the State 4A Division 1 game. Cross your fingers for us.

I concur: Congrats to the boys for their outstanding effort, and with some hard work and good luck, they should repeat next year!

Competitive fellas aren't they Kristen? Maybe they take after their mother.
Congratulation on their wins and by the way it never slows down! And you thought you were busy when they were babies...

hehe, Clois. I was plenty busy then, but now it seems i spend all my time in the car- running hither and yon.
Good got better..... Peter got accepted to Texas A&M yesterday.
I'm betting we have an Aggie in the house; not a Horned Frog.
They took the 'team photo' this afternoon- hangs on the wall about 6'x10' in the big gym. Cool. We have won 8 state football championships, the last one in '98. (jordan black, et al) The team has been to the finals 14 times. So everyone is feeling pretty good!
thanks everybody, for the congrats.
This team is the best HS football team I've EVER seen. Our school is comparable to a 4-A size in public; they think they could take on some 5-A's!! (maybe not Allen or Euless )
Everybody have a safe week, and great weekend.
K

ok... to brag a little bit more.....
Peter is the goalie for our varsity soccer team, and although we lost in a heart breaker double over time 10 man shootout playoff game.....
he was named 'District MVP' and 'All-District 1st team Goalie' on Friday.
He then went on to Texas A&M for 'aggieland' open house on Saturday. He is definitely excited about college next August!
btw. the team we lost to in the playoff game?? Won the state championship on Saturday. They were definitely a good team. lol
Kristen
(just thought my good buddies would like to know )

ok.... a little more bragging.....
Last friday, Peter was named 'first team ALL STATE' goalie.
and...... graham played on the varsity baseball team for a tournament this weekend, and out of 7 or 8 teams, his team won the tournament and he was named 'tournament MVP'. not bad for a lowly sophomore!!
and.... BOTH girls play in their respective team championship basketball games TODAY, one at 3 and one at 4 (we will divide these i guess!)
DO YOU WONDER WHY I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THE COBRA????
oh, btw, Sam. no... A&M doesn't offer soccer on the Div I status, but they do offer 'club' or 'travel' team. I would prefer he not do that in the Fall; maybe spring semester?? But he might do intramurals, etc. Hopefully academics will fill his time at school, not fun!
