thanks for the address.
I know you probably already know this.... but the folks at El Arroyo would close the restaurant to the public during our lunch. Was really really nice. Probably unrealistic to think Mamacita's would.
ok! i'll see how many miles/time it takes. I am not very hopeful.
thanks again.

I am a expat (cobra owner) from Australia (car is still in Aussie) living in McAllen Texas. I have a 11 son racing BMX in San Antonio on Saturday Night so will be in the area over the weekend. We would love to meet and see a few cobra owners and cobras. What would be a good time/ event to visit.
Cheers
Bruce

K, sorry to hear the schedule for the coming weekend is so tight. Hoping for plan C.
macloft, as "hey, littlecobra" mentioned, she regrets the possibility of missing the trip to the Oasis. If you haven't been before, I highly recommend. The agenda has lunch at the Oasis on Friday.

Hi Glyn
Problem is I am a Kiwi so maybe we can discuss the Rugby OLD BOY.
Sounds good though and I will see if I can get a hotel for the night somewhere near by.
Cheers

Media informed?
Has anyone from Austin, San Antonio and San Marcos informed the media about our gathering? I've talked to a Friend from Austin and said he didn't hear about last years event until it was too late.
I believe the most of us do enjoy displaying our hardware. I guess the only issue is when we're all in the parking lot at the same time during daylight.
Oh yeah, up to 120 songs on the iPod. Classified as "before 10:00 PM" and "after 10:00 PM".

media
In the past 5 years (I don't know about last year) I have sent out press releases to the media outlets here in town. When I called the stations I have gotten the same response. They will look into covering the event or the tell me the are going to cover the event. But the always add it will depend on what is happening in town or around the country. I contacted News 8 Austin, because they have a news hub in San Marcus. They have seem the most interested.

I just got back from the hotel and roping off our areas. The hotel has changed our parking from the map we had on the website and we have even more room. It appears we can accommodate the trailers without removing the trucks. I think we will have plenty of pull thru spaces for everyone. Y'all be safe getting here! See you in a couple of days.

Embassy booking
Howdy guys
I am allowed to travel up from McAllen and see some real American Cobras with my son (we will stay Friday night) however it looks like you bunch have booked out the hotel so I have had to book a room 3 miles down the road. If anyone has a booking they are not using on Friday night at the Embassy please let me know.
Cheers Bruce

We have a death here at work and I'm going to have to cancel. I have room reservations from Thursday night through Sunday morning. If anyone is interested in my reservation, call me at 9729910900. I plan on contacting the hotel this afternoon.

Prayers
Jim,
We are sorry you cannot attend this years events. I think honoring a co-worker is a very noble thing you are doing. We will miss your presents but truley understand.

Bruce- i have a reservation for Friday night only- you may have it, if you want.
Jim- I am planning on leaving around 7 am saturday- if you can come, feel free to drive down with me, in the 500 (weather permitting) and coming home after the lunch, so be home around 6-7 or so.
Let me know if that works. I don't know when your funeral is, so if it isn't saturday, see if this works.

Thanks Kristen, the final plans are being made today and the intent is for a Saturday funeral. If that changes I'll call you.
Thanks Gregg for your comments. I was really looking forward to seeing you and hearing some stories. So glad you are back with your family.
To everyone else, try to make sure we get invited back to San Marcos but more importantly........HAVE A BLAST!!
