Texas Spring Meet 2009
WOW!!!!
Hope everyone made it home safe.
Thanks to the Austin Cobra Club for a great event. Lets do it again next year.
What a great time. Met lots of great folks and what a turn out.
This was my first meet and certainly will not be my last.
Great food, great weather, great cruising, we had all 4 seasons in 3 days, that is Texas weather.
No parking issues, great hotel and the significant others spent our money at the discount mall, who can ask for anything more.

Definitely DO NOT miss driving River Road between TX46 and Sattler, lots of twisting turns and great scenery. The Guadalupe River is a bit cold for tubing at this time of year, but IMHO the absence of those "black river slugs" makes the view even more enjoyable (YMMV!!).

Thanks to all involved for a great event. I hope the hotel has us back next year. Perfect location and plenty of parking. Nice rooms too.
Special thanks to those who organized the road rally/scavenger hunt. It was a blast!
It was an honor to meet the wounded soldiers. I took Sgt. Sterling Dunn on the scavenger hunt. Hanging out with him was the highlight of my weekend.
I could never express my gratitude enough to those guys who have sacrificed for us and our freedom. God bless them.

What a great time! Thanks to Dee, Jackie, and the rest of the Austin bunch and everyone else who had a hand in making this the best event yet. Looking forward to next year.
Mr Barnes. I really love the title "Driving Instructor" in your signature. That flower bed probably cut you off.

Hi Guys
Thank you very much to those people who not even knowing us spent time with us and especially to those who gave my boy a ride in their Cobra. Awesome. Thats what I find where ever I go around the world. People who drive cobras have a real bond. What great cars.

What a great job the Austin group did. Hats off to all involved. So many things to do so little time. I drove a little over 800 miles and consumed 72 gallons of gas. What a blast.
Got a little wet Thursday. Well maybe a lot wet, but well worth it. Already looking forward to next year.
Thanks Richard

Best one for sure. As all are saying, a BIG thanks to the Austin group. Thanks to those who offered seats to both of my daughters. They're already scheduling for next year.
Let's see, we saw midgets (OK "little people), busted headlights with dear fur, broken headers, front ends ripped off, Corvettes doing dough nuts on the tarmac, horrible cruise maps, road kill with buzzards, rain swamped cars, grown men crying, shop-a-holics, and the list goes on. I couldn't ask for a better time.
Thanks from the "East Side"

Hey Court from Keller,
Since you're just a young lad, here is a link to part of the movie "Gumball Rally" we were talking about. You know we almost threw you out of our "Circle of Trust" Saturday night......... Geese, never seen "Gumball Rally". That's just blasphemy. You should be horse whipped.
