Hello guys,
I was thinking about trying to meet up with all of the Cobra club group this month. I have had my cobra for several years now, just never get out to meet all the group. I have met a few guys at some of the shows throughout the years but never at a big meeting like this sounds to be.
Iam hoping to meet you at the Starbucks at 8:00.
So we will see you all in the morning.

Jeff, if you can't make the starbucks in time, the car show location is just north of there on the tollway north bound access road at Spring Creek.

Rolling Thunder Indeed...
It's either a B-52 strike or TCC arriving en masse.

Great to see everyone this morning! Wow! 150 cars including a Ferrari F50 and a Saleen S7. Oh and 20 or so Cobras. Great turnout.
Alright Richard, damage report?

Oh well, live and learn.. Glad you only suffered a slap up side the head. That was me coming around you right after it happened.
To be completely honest, a 460 stroker would probably get me in exactly the same type of trouble, if not worse!

Glad there is no damage Richard.
Trina wants to know if the calibration from the passenger seat was effective?

I have a feeling the police will be watching the exit routine next month. Someone will probably report one of the participants for the shenanigans. Glad nobody busted anything. But it was fun watching the cars exit.
Very cool atmosphere. I liked the flags indicating the car origins. My daughter Caroline pointed out the American iron isle, the Italian mafia row, the English propers, the Cobra corridor, and the Tokyo drift area.
There were some incredible cars there. Goes to show, you got the money, you can park anything in the garage.
It was fun to bring the race car out. Lot's of folks really don't understand. "No it's not street legal. It's a race prepared Mustang". But there were guys there who had original GT350's and GT500's. Really good folks. That's when I get schooled.
And I love it when Winkleman (sp) brings his original Cobra out. Such a thrill to see the real McCoy.
Our isle did stir a lot of interest. Very neat with all the Ford powered hardware. Cobra's galore, Gary's late model GT500 and my GT350 clone. But who parked the Chevy cross-over with us?? Come on Joe........ next time, send it to the other side of the parking lot

Sorry, was just trying to use it as a bookend.
And I did use it to block traffic so all the cobras could leave the in a line to try to arrive together.

Woo Hoo!!
So it was the best C&C so far .. 18 Cobras, plus some members in their drivers .. weather was perfect! Biggest turnout for C&C thus far. We barely got a place to park and we got there at 8:45 am. BMW saved the front row for us again. Eric Maas, the owner, was there as soon as we parked, thanking us for showing up and glowing about the cars. He did that last month also, so you can be sure we are welcome there.
Welcome to several new and rarely seen folks who drove their Cobras in and we hope to see you at some monthly meetings! Like next Saturday BTW, we don't have dues or rules, so there's not much you are obligated to do if you want to hang with us
Here's a pic of the snake pit:
About 10 Cobras made it up to Rudy's BBQ in Frisco for the regular post C&C luncheon We made sure evvverybody was invited this month
Yeah, next C&C, figure the heat will be in attendance .. That stinking Viper ..

Good day
Hey gang:
My brother and I had a blast today. The cruise over from Ft. Worth with six cars was a lot of fun...looking forward to more shows and some breakfeast/lunch meetings.
One different angle of the "pit"

OK Dallas guys. Are there no ex-military members in the club, or at least a ex Band Geek? Who had the blue car out of line? Us Anal-retentive types are just annoyed by that!!!!
Looks like a great time, It is still so hot in Houston it's hard to get a big group together. Hope ya'll got to meet James and Penny Wagner, we are sharing these great cobra folks with ya'll. Till March hope to see ya'll sooner.

Larry, you can blame me for that poor alignment. And I'm both an ex-college marching band member, AND WORSE..... an Architect. I arrived first and set my Mustang up, then the rest of the cars showed up. The guys started pouring in like salmon during the fall river run. Just when I was lining one up, the next one was damn near running me over. I'll take a more authoritative approach next time.
That's how the Chevy cross-over got by me........... just giving you s#@t Joe.
Look at the shadow guys. The sun is directly behind the cars. Weird looking shapes. Sam's car looks like it has holes in it.

You guys don't know Cobras Larry, that's Ross' Lone Star, and as you know, they are 4" longer than the original bodied cars like ERA. The rear is actually lined up
Steve, those holes are the racing hood hinge cutouts in the radiator shroud. All the original ERA race cars from back in the day had them. They provide ram air inlet to the engine house and facilitate evacuation of exhaust heat

SSSammy and LUvdablues
I should have know since I have the Yellow Lone Star!!! Our cars always stick out!
Luv,
My favorite story is about Rice Univ. One of the best architect schools around correct? I went to a baseball game at the old stadium a couple years ago and sat with a view straight down third base line. The fowl line looked like a drunken sailor had chalked it. I just kept thinking all night, all these incredibly bright young people and they can't draw a straight line.
