Billet Aluminum Hemi Heads for SB Ford & SB Chevy
Do I have your attention? I am going to be offering these heads on my site!
They will be complete and ready to bolt on. T&D rockers, valves, springs, carbon fiber valve covers, etc. These are billet aluminum hemi heads. They are made by a wizard in his shop. He has a set on a SB Chevy, naturally aspirated, race gas, in a Chevy II running in a 10 1/2 in slick class, producing over 900hp, turning 8.14 at 173 mph. This is a pretty nasty engine granted, but these heads on a street engine would produce significant hp gains, not to mention looks! No, they are not cheap! Al W.

Okay Al, I'll bite. I don't see a link or any other obvious way to your site, and a little more info would be nice. You do want to play nice don't you Al?

Just a guy in a machine shop, he has a long career and experience in performance parts and racing. He has held records and still does hold a record at Bonneville. As seen by his work, he does know what he is doing. He is in the process of patenting the head design.

Except that those heads are cast, not billet! Huge difference.

Looks quite Boss 429ish. I'd like to see some more details like flow rates, manifolding etc.

For what a pair of those heads will cost I probably could buy a good used Cobra (complete) in today's market.
They are nice though...good luck with your new product.

I would like to know more about the cooling efficiency and results from extended duration hi-load dyno runs for street & circuit type race use . Drag race results of limited duration prove the porting & flow rates are good. Actual water jacket volume & coolant surface area appear to be minimal if they are indeed cut from a one piece solid billet.

I believe you'll find that the heads are machined by Chuck Haberstrate. He also machined the Arias hemi/chevy heads in the recent past. The guy has been around and does great work.
Correction on his record though. He currently holds a record at El Mirage not Bonneville.

Steve, The heads were fashioned with a Boss 429 look. I'll get some flow data for you.

Will they require custom headers or configured for an off the shelf design?

I saw a set of these heads on a car at the Portland Roadster show last fall. The guy who had them on his car said they were a prototype and they would be available for sale about this time frame.
Talked to him awhile and he said the target pricing was in the $5500 range or so. I'd sure like to see some testing numbers and flow numbers on these heads. They look really unique mounted on a small block Chevy motor. Definitely a real "wow" factor with these for bling.

A header flange can be had to work with regular headers.
