Default Goodyear BB lettering

HI, Just a question, I am looking at getting some billboards, I am in Australia and can only find one place that sells them here, almost same price as from Roger Kraus after shipping. The guys here tell me the tires only have the Goodyear lettering on them, no eagle. I understand that the original ones were like this and that the eagle was added on tires manufactured later on. The tires are the same size and tread pattern as from Roger. My question is, is there any difference in the tires or is it just the lettering? Any insight would be appreciated.. Thanks..

Check the tires carefully. The "Billboards", actually, Goodyear Sports Car Specials, have both Goodyear and Eagle on the sidewall. The Goodyear Bluestreak, track tires, only have Goodyear on them. And they don't have much of a tread either compared to the Billboards. Look at the Roger Kraus Racing website, he has lots of pictures.

Yup...listen to the man.

If they are Bluestreaks (G7s), they'll be mucho muy goodo in the dry and damn near useless in the rain.

Thanks guys, I think you have hit the nail on the head. The ones down here are being sold as bluestreaks, i just figured they were the same due to the sizing and tread pattern. I thought that the" billboards " or sports car specials were just a modern copy of the bluestreak and the bluestreaks weren't made anymore. I assumed they were just using the bluestreak name down here, maybe for marketing reasons, guess not, thanks for the heads up, Cheers
