I was thinking of why the wait, and then I realized that it takes time to chisel a tire from a solid block of granite.

It was comical when I bought my car, the dealer wanted a $200 upgrade fee for the 295 where as the 275 were "stock". I quickly realized to purchase 295 at the time were $200 so I could have both for the price of the upgrade.
In the end how much larger footprint to you gain with the 295's over the 275's. Friction = Force * coeffecient of friction so if your tire is not as wide you have more psi then a larger tire that has less psi, in the end I bet the difference is negligible. Get the 275's and never worry about rub marks, rock being flung outside the wheel well etc.

Those tires suck eggs on a Cobra no matter what size they are.

Do not buy the BFGs. They wear like crazy but they lack grip.
A bigger issue is their tendency to not be very round.

Come on guys, I keep mine under 100 mph and love long hard burndown, there the perfect tire to save your drivetrain.

Maxx has a good point, there is ZERO possibility of breaking any drive train components with these tires (regardless of size). Because they have ZERO traction!
Seriously,,, what a waste of time and money even considering these tires.

Pretty sure this is the size I have on the rear of my Cobra but a DRAG RADIAL. Pretty sticky and still looks authentic.

Talk about wear like crazy, got a pair of Cooper Cobras on rear of mine with 4000 miles and they're totally shot. I don' t track it, don't drag it and in general, take it prettty easy on it

Thanks for the info on the Cooper Cobras. I was considering them. Next choice is the Mickey Thompson S/R. They have a higher speed rating by a letter, but I have no idea why.
