Aw geez.....twenty pages coming of "I coulda bought some mag Halibrands, is Fran EVER gonna make 'em, I know a guy who can make them, HOW MUCH????"....
Notice that the seller took great pains to detail the wheels before taking photos!

Dang,
Not a word about this auction until it was over?
For the record, it wasn't me. Shame on anyone who thought that!

I can think of a few.
I can neither confirm nor deny that I bid on that set of magnesium Halibrands.
I can tell you that I didn't win the auction.

I wanted a set, found and bought a set. I have done the same for two customers. If you want them, they are out there, but it's a simple supply and demand formula for price. Some people don't really want them they just want to talk about them.

Yes, I'm one of those "people" that just wants to talk about them.
But I'm also one of those "people" that doesn't have unlimited funds to spend on them.
For the record, Nick, I found your comment offensive.

I would like a set.
I knew 2 guys who had sets for sale.
One guy sold his and the other decided no.
If you could be of assistance, please do so.

I have a set of Halibrands I may sell. They are 16 inch wheels. If I keep them I will be able to put bigger brakes on my car but I,m not sure how much of a noticable difference it will make. The down side is that I want to use Avons and they are 15 inch. So what should I do - Avons with Trigo or Vintage wheels or 16 inch Halibrands with who knows what kind of tire. Any suggestions?

It doesn't seem like I need to say this, but I would be very interested in a set of 15" magnesium Halibrands for my Cobra.
At some point, Halibrand will make them again. I might be 100 years old, when I get them, but I just got this feeling.
