Details for the Avons
I have a superformance cobra and live in Dubai in the Middle East. I am struggling to get tires for my 15" wheels and from what i am reading the Avons seems to be the way to go. However i can not find any details about which tires everyones on about! Can someone post a link please as i may have to look at shipping them from the states if not available here and i want to make sure i ship the right choice.

The Avon CR6ZZ are good tires , and other than one or two others , that`s about all that`s available for 15" wheels . My experience with them ( 2500 miles so far and two track weekends ... about 500 track miles total ) is they are great for the street and acceptable for the track . Problem I`m having is that they ( obviously ) can`t/won`t compare to a true racing tire or something like the Nitto 555 series 17" tires .
Today , the choices for track and extreme high performance are mostly limited to 17" and up . This is why I`m now ordering 17" wheels and race slicks for track weekends . When you are at the edge and a car goes around you in the turn .... time to do something else .
BTW , Roger Krause Racing is a West Coast source for the Avons , SASCO is the East Coast source .

Have you looked at running the Goodyear G7's on the track?
