Default What 17" size to replace 295/50r15?

I'm thinking of replacing my 15" Compmotive Halibrand style wheels and going with a 17" Halibrand style wheel. I have 295/50R15's on the rear and wanted to stay about the same height and width. What are you 17" guys using that's about that size?

Dave;
Go online to the Tire Rack's web page. Pick the tire you're running and pick the tech. or specification tab. That will give you the height and width for your current tire size. Pick a replacement 17" tire and do the same thing, then compare notes. You might have to shop a couple of brands to get close to what you want, but each tire also has customer ratings and prices to make your shopping easier. That's what I did and ended up buying from them
(315/35R17). They had the biggest selection and great prices.

I'm running 315/35/17 M/T ET Street drag radials on 17 x 10.5 Halibrand style wheels.

I like the hook and look.
