For a street car, why would anybody drop that kind of money on a magnesium wheel? I go to a local car show and a guy has a Factory 5 Cobra. It is about as far from original looking as you can get. Last year I was talking with him and almost everybody that walked up asked..."is it real?". It is bright yellow with a modern interior, stereo, dual roll bars, automatic trans, 5.0l with FI, and some type of aftermarket 18" wheels. 95% or more of the population cannot even pick a Cobra out that looks somewhat real. Is anybody really going to notice your real magnesium wheels? Would they even care if you told them?
Just curious.

No, more like 99.9% of the population. But, 99.9% of the world's population couldn't identify a picture of Joe Biden, either. But, presumably, the purchase is not being made for others, it is being made for one's self.

That's correct. You do it for yourself.
The realrodderswheels look promising. I might look into them. Thanks legenmetals.

Agreed. Some folks are going for authenticity, probably more for themselves than anything else. Others care less about authenticity and are more interested in tailoring it to their personal desires than remaining faithful to the original cars.
To each their own or, as my wife puts it, "there's a lid for every pot".

That only applies if he's smiling - then people tend to confuse him with the Chesire cat in Alice in Wonderland.

Work in progress
Thanks for the interest.
The wheels that are being developed are intended for those doing a "correct" restoration. Marvic has spent a good amount of time an effort to make these wheels correct, and made to current quality standards.

Fred2,
Thanks for the info. But I'd like to note: if the Cobra mags are indeed accurate, then those with Wilwood brakes (like Kirkhams) will not be able to use them. The brakes interfere with the wheel. Even the new CSXs are using 'Shelby' branded Wilwoods, although I have not verified fitment issues with these, I wouldn't count on it.
Just wanted to note it. If Marvic wanted to expand their market, they should produce a mag with Trigo measurments.
