Replacing F1 with NTO5
I hope to replace my old (rock hard) F1 with Nitto NT05. My concern is with a softer compound, throwing up stones in the fender wells (stars in the fiberglass). Is this a real concern with the tires? I have read of using additional undercoatings like Herculiner, Line-x, Rhino. Do they work?

I've got them and haven't had a problem with their compound.
But then, I don't drive on dirt or gravel roads here in so cal.

I suspect the answer to your question is more about how the BDR body is built than the tires. This might be a good question to pose to the Backdraft group.
