Wanted to share a few photos of the finished product. After the first ride I noticed some of the edges of the lettering were lifting a little so I applied a small amout of clear enamel from the can lightly onto the lettering and it acted like glue. Because I had a little bit a break dust forming on the letters, the application of the clear mixed with the carbon and added a bit more patina. Hopefully this holds up, but it really doesn’t matter since more wear just adds to the character. Kudos to Raceline Digital for the stencil and to Ranger Paint.

They look great Frank.
I still.....can't decide on a tire manufacturer, either GY Billboards, AVON, Goodyear II (if I can find them) cheap Cooper Cobra's or even the old BF GOODRICH. I'd like the GY the best as looks, but their bias ply. The AVON's are great radials but are 2k. But I do know, on what ever brand, I'll either use the spray tensile or glue on the rubber letters.

I found that if you let new tires age 6 months or so they will stay cleaner, I put them on new tires and brown spots began to appear, then I had to replace a tire and didn’t get around to putting them on for a while and I didn’t get the brown spots on that tire.

If I can afford tires next spring, I really like the AVON's being radials, and get the rubber letters to glue on. I like the GY tire pattern better, but it won't bother me. I don't know if I'll keep them shinny bright white or a little dirty ? I also have the idea of buying stencils and spray paint them like the originals, and still today.
