New Tires & rims for ERA 18"
Hi guys
i'm new on on this forum, nice to see so much informations and very interesting :) I'm located in Europe and i'm actually looking to buy an Era. For some models i've seen, all have the Jag rear-end with 5 lugs patterns, but i don't really now the exact size of it. Basicly, i'd like to have a little bit the rear tires out of the body (1 or 2in,just to look a bit badass). What rear rims and offset do you recommand? I've seen VintageWheelsUs, but production time and transport will be very long for me. Do you know maybe some alternative in the same "style"? For the front wheels, but it stays with original offset for 1in wider, it can be good too, just hope that nothing will touch the body on the first bump All the Best |
Firstly, welcome to the forum. You will find a lot of good information here.
To your question….hotrodding an ERA Cobra by adding wide wheels that protrude significantly from the bodywork will probably reduce its value and its appeal. Rear wheels are typically around 9” wide, so to protrude by the amount you’re talking, they would need to be more than 12 inches wide. I have to ask …. why do that? My opinion only. Whatever you choose to do ….. enjoy! Cheers! Glen |
Image Wheels UK make a Halibrand style centerlock wheel (CHB).
Don't know anything about suitable sizes or quality, but closer to you than U.S. |
