Best Tire pricing- Wal-Mart

My newly acquired SPF 1939 is no years old and riding on older Michelin PS in 17". 335/35 rears in the rear and 275/40 in the front. The fronts rub and I want to go a bit smaller. Finding rubber to fit is a challenge. Michelin is still the only source for 335's. They are like 220 rubber and not very sticky for our cars power.

Rode in a friend's SPF new build R model running the Nitto Drag radial on the rear and the harder G2 in the front. I think his stacked injected Roush makes more power currently then my port injected motor which is getting tuned and a new ECU. All I can say is wow. He got on it hard in second gear and power shifted 3rd and was planted. I was truly amazed at the hook up. Now way I can put the power down like that I would be up in smoke and all over the road. Down shift to 3rd at 90. Straight hooked up and gone. Very impressive.

I can get the Nitto's in 315's for the rear and 255's for the front which should not rub and still fit my front 10" wheel. Shopped everywhere. Wally World was the best pricing. I would never have guessed it. Rears show at the local store tomorrow and the fronts come to my home on Weds. FYI for tire shoppers.

I just put a new set of PS2 on my Superformance I bought from Costco. Cheapest I found mounted and balanced with $150 off. Took the tires/wheels there lose.
My others were about 8 or 9 years old. New ones hook up way better. Fronts only rub a full turn so not a big deal to me.

Make sure you check the date code on them if you buy them from Walmart. Last set I bought were way out of date and the tire shop would not install them!

Both Costco and Sams have amazing tire prices. I got a set for my truck from Sams for about $200 less than the tire places nearby and got the LT tires to boot. (Costco was roughly the same price but Sams had them in stock.)

Both can order tires for and usually will give you the sale price, especially some "performance" tires. Sams had a sale on Bridgestones which included the ones used on the Ford GT.

One thing about Sams is you get an extra discount if you have a Plus membership. We upgraded to Plus (+$40) and still saved $40 ($80 coupon).

Their battery prices are good too.

Very good point.
I had Ford service my wife's CA GT Mustang the other day. It's a 2013 with the original tires. The tech told my wife the tire are good and were manufactured in 2017???????? They read the code wrong. The code is 1712 which means they were manufactured on the 17th week of 2012. Car only has 10k miles on it.....
