Default Nitto 17/315 NT555RII rears and 17/255 NT555 mounted

Car is almost sorted out. I think one more shop visit and she will be completely sorted out. Had the new tires mounted and road forced balanced. Also had the car aligned. Used the street- occasional track set up. All I can say is wow.

She needed new tires as they were old and not balanced proper as they had tossed some weights over the years. I had ridden in a buddy's R a couple weeks ago running the Nitto's. They hook up! I was impressed and ordered a set the next day. Shop was willing to deal with the knock-off which was cool. I had everything required.

All I can say is wow. She is so smooth now and no vibrations. Where she should be. No problems getting her to the floor now in 3rd or 2nd without boiling the hides. They just hook up and your gone. Traction issues solved.

Next up rear brake rotors. Shop said they could not find the rotors to match. Not sure how hard they tried. One has surface cracking and squeals bad. Oil leaks next. I don't think the new oil pan is sealed properly.

I also dropped from 275/40 fronts to 255/40's. Huge improvement in front end handling. First the 275 rubbed the frame at full lock. Backing out of drive and doing U-turns you could smell the rubber burning from the contact. No need for that much rubber on the front of this light car. OVERKILL. Enzo Ferrari said anything bigger than 225's in front just slows you down.

The 255 are way lighter up front and you can feel it. A lot less resistance turning the wheel at slower speeds. Very happy with the down sizing in front.

Rears I went from Mich PSS 335's 35- 17 to 315/35/17's. Not as beefy looking but way more hook up which I was looking for.

I do miss the ability to roast them at will in any gear. The harder Mich's did slide and drift nicely, but I would rather have the hook up. Very happy how she is coming together.

I just put on a new set of Nitto's, 255 front and 320 rear, drives real nice and fits my 17 inch rims and the body lines of my Lonestar

You had previously inquired about this in a different thread. Towards the end of the thread I posted sources for the Superformance recommended service replacement rotors. The prices were relatively low, somewhere between $20 and $55 per rotor assuming you used AC Delco manufactured rotors.

Here is a link to that post in the event you missed it, click here => SPF Replacement Rotors
