Need a spinner vendor
First off you guys are great! I asked for advice on removing spinners and the responses were both amusing and sarcastic.
I like that.
Great ideas and I’ve tried most of them.
Here is a rundown that I hope you find enlightening:
Started with my dead blow hammer as I didn’t have a clue what I was doing.
Moved onto the 9-11 tool and a lead hammer.
Didn’t work.
That got the front off, but not the back.
Purchased the large aluminum tool and a breaker bar.
Didn’t work.
Added 6’ of pipe to the breaker bar.
Didn’t work.
Got a 1/2” impact wrench.
Didn’t work.
I should mention that I have been marinating the spinner in everything from Kroil oil to ATF and acetone.
Got a torque multiplier.
Didn’t work.
Had a friend bring over his 1” impact wrench.
Didn’t work.
And before you ask I’m sure I’m spinning them in the correct direction.
Cooled the spindle with dry ice and heated the spinner.
Didn’t work.
It was suggested that I take the yard that works on truck tires and tell them “I’ll bet you $100 you can’t get those spinners off”!
Anyway by now you can hopefully see why I’m at the stage where I want to cut them off.
When I figure out how to upload photos I’ll pass the along.
Looking forward to more creative suggestions.

Before you cut them off go to Cobra Valley’s website and take a look at their Spinner 9-1-1 removal tool. It’s a must have.

I agree with Sawdust. I also recommend Kroil penetrating oil.
Just and idea, drill a very small hole in the spinner and shoot the Kroil in it and keep the hole full for several days. Then a rim repair place can repair the hole.

Not sure if you tried heat from a small torch...assuming the spinners are aluminum they will expand quicker and dimensionally more that the steel hub. After heating apply the penetrating oil. When I remove/install my spinners, I use a 3" diameter glass filled rod about 16" long. When it's hit with a large hammer it creates a solid blow transferring all the energy to the spinner.

I am an echo of the recommendations already made, but you should definitely have one of the Cobra Valley Spinner 911 tools. It is waaaaay less expensive than replacement spinners and will make you glad you bought it every time you use it. Heating the spinner and using penetrating fluids does not hurt, but there is no substitute for the mechanical advantage the 911 tool provides to you.
Just do it! You will not be sorry.

Be careful not to melt the spinner with a torch since aluminum has a much lower melting point that steel. Also don't get it so hot that the wheel bearings are affected. I used the Cobra Valley 911 tool with success but I did have to combine that with several very healthy whacks of my lead mallet. BTW, Cobra Valley also sells some very good anti-seize that is a clear liquid that is much less messy than the silver stuff. My 2¢

Don't. You'll end up damaging your hubs. There's half a dozen good spinner removal tools. Just pick one and try it. Or, build your own. The one I built will literally spin the tires on asphalt with a troublesome spinner. Just apply the brakes or put it in gear for the rear wheels. 5000 ft/lbs of torque will break loose any spinner out there, unless you confused your antiseize with JB Weld.

5lb American Hammer mallet on each ear in succession will break it loose. You have to hit each one. Just one won't do it. You cannot use lead shot hammers they will not transfer enough of the energy to the wing. You need direct contact of the entire mass of the head. Tire must also be on the ground or you're just moving the wheel around.

Are you selling that contraption? It's probably beyond most people's here skills to build one...

AND PRECISELY ONCE!
Why?
Because having wrestled with the hammer and spinner you'll learn your lesson and put anti-seize on the mating surfaces and never have to use anything but the hammer, and only lightly at that, again...

No, that's why I wrote "There's half a dozen good spinner removal tools. Just pick one and try it." in my first post. But I don't buy in to "they'll learn their lesson on anti-seize" stuff. He's in a jam and needs a solution, and taking a high speed Dremel cut-off wheel to his spinner ain't it, but he thinks it is. And forcing him to get an arm injury just to learn that he can't swing the hammer for an hour in his garage ain't it either. Have some compassion, Tony.

Great Idea, But why stop at 5 LBS go for the 20LB Sledge and get a running start from the end of driveway !

Candle wax and a cigarette lighter may be the solution? I have not tried this, it's cheap and easy, can't hurt to see if it works. See the attached link to a youtube video explaining the technique.

I would say 911 tool and lead hammer but if that did not work two 911 tools and a lead hammer. And if that don"t work Just listen to pattrickt He seems to now what he is talking about sometimes.
