15" Tire dilemma...Help please

Hi, i am new to the forum. I am the proud owner of an early Superformance MK3. When i purchased my car it came with 255/60/15 fronts and 275/60/15 rears. After looking at the date of the tires and seeing they were 20+ years old lol i figured it was time to update. I purchased 28/12/15 Mickey Thompson S/R which match the height on the rear but added the width i was looking for. Unfortunately i thought the fronts were 65 series and i bought 28/10/15 for the front.... and they don't fit. I am looking for advice on the fronts since they dont offer a 27" tire wider than 6 inches. (8" rim"). My options with trying to keep the tread pattern similar or the same are 255/60/15 ET Street SS or 26/8/15 S/Rs. Does anyone have experience running a 26 front and 28 rear? or should i just swallow my pride and go with the different tread pattern on the proper sized ET Street SS? Go easy on me i'm new lol.

For S/Rs you want the 26R-10x15 tires for the front

Yeah, i see that 26 is my only real option for fronts in the S/R. They don't make a 26x10 anymore, only a 26x8 just wondering how horrible they will look with my 28" rears because replacing those again and losing $1200 really isn't an option
