I don't mean to sound any alarms, but I'm wondering how there business is doing in this economy. Not answering inquiries from potential customers is not a good sign from my perspective.

Lew , I have contacted M&A and they are still intrested in making this wheel.I would love it if we could get something going . I would have several people willing to purchase these wheels.

I am all for that! I would love a set for myself. I am not sure how to get the ball rolling further.

I don't know for sure, but I don't think M&A will start the ball rolling without having taken deposits on much more than 10 +/- sets of wheels, if they don't have the molds already setup. In this economy, businesses aren't going to build up their inventories of unsold merchandise.

Karen from Halibrand responded to me this morning via email:

"Thank you for your update on how many people are requesting, we haven't production date yet. Will remind Richard again. Thanks, Karen"

I told her that we had about 10 +/- people who were strongly interested in a set of these wheels. I hope I didn't underestimate the demand, but I didn't want to appear to be a liar.

Karen and I exchanged emails on July 15, 2008. As of that date, there was still no production date for the wheels yet.

On Aug. 20, 2008 I received the following e-mail from Karen at Halibrand:

Hi Lew,
Sorry nothing has changed yet, still hoping. I will be sure to let you know.
Thank you,
Karen

Now that's a brave seller looking for $2,000/wheel ($10,000/set) without knockoffs in this economy. I love the claim, "believed to be from Shelby Team." Uh, huh. Sure.

Thanks for the links.
