However, there are 5 threads in this forum with BillBoards in the title. Take a look at those threads.

Got em!! Right in front of my face! Alot of mixed opinions. As far as the hunting issue, my GY GS-D3's on my C5 do a bit of that as well, not a big deal at all! Still not sure about the large lettering. I would be totally content, well almost I guess, if I had all 4 new tires. The fact that I have 2 new fronts and can't get the rear TA's is bugging me. So I will have to make a decision!

Much thanks!!

Could this be an option? The message is from one of the guys on the forum for Pantera owners, who face the same issues with tires.

Subject: [DeTomaso] V-rated 225/50 and 295/50 tires available now--at last!!!

Hi guys,

I found V-rated 225/50-15 front tires here:

http://www.maxxis.com/products/autom...il.asp?id=5457

And almost-matching 295/50-15 rear tires here:

http://www.maxxis.com/products/autom...il.asp?id=5474

The latter are listed as H-rated on the website; I've eyeballed them myself and they are in fact clearly marked as being V-rated.

The price is right too!

I'd check the markings to be sure however.

They are carried by Les Schwab tire stores in the USA.

Smile Cobra tires

Most guys drive their Cobra so little that one good set of tires will last them a life time. $800 set of tires, 1000 miles a year, 20 years = cheap.

Buy the best tires because your life may depend on them.

Tires and brakes are the cheapest insurance you can buy for a Cobra.

They should pass a law that would not allow you to put BFG TAs on a Cobra.

Dwight

I run BFG G-Force and love them. Great in the rain.

When I bought my replica I had no idea the tires were produced in 2000.

Just last year I went a little too far on a right hand turn corner and ended up getting backwards, skidding off the road, and ruining a rear bumper in a collision with a road sign post. That was a $100 mistake!

I have noticed that the tires have gotten very hard...makes it easy to spin out and that isn't always a good thing....impressive as you spin 'em across an intersection, but I hardly ever do that, it's not as important to me as having decent braking.

I am thinking about going with the Cooper Cobras the next time I swap tires...but no matter how little wear they have I will never again let a set of tires stay on my car for ten years. It was false economy

Cheers!

Dugly
