I've seen Vintage next to Trigo, and they are pretty much exact to each other.
I know Vintage is way cheaper and they have great support, but that doesn't make it a better physical wheel.

Here are claims from their web sites. I researched both when Vintage Wheels debuted. #5 had been the biggest complaint I heard from Trigo owners where some "custom grinding" was needed to get the wheel on the pins.

When I was looking to buy wheels I started with Trigo. It was during the sale period from Mr Park so that may have effected things. Trigo was hard to get answers out of and Vintage made it easy as I needed the larger offset/backspacing. Side by side they are the same from what I have seen. Bob takes customer service very serious and make the purchase a pleasure.
I am very happy with my Vintage Wheels
Unless I needed 15" FIA wheels I would go back to Vintage without any hesitation. However, I do think Trigos were made in the USA versus South Africa?

The fact that Vintage are pressure cast makes a safer stronger wheel because it's less porous. You can see the moulds are a higher quality from the smaller size of the flash and the nice finish of the wheel on the back as well as the front. Hub centric is very important to your safety for a non DOT approved wheel. The weight of the car is transferred to the hub centre instead of riding on drive pins only which are working in shear and torque at the same time on our set ups. If you can, look at some side by side, especially off the car so you can check the back.

I have Trigos. One of them leaks right through the metal. That's right, right through the metal, you can watch the bubbles form. I have to air that guy up every day. What a pain.
I may yet spring for a set of Vintage.

Just another for Vintage. I got my set when they first came on the market.
Customer service second to none. And if it weren't for Vintage, we'd still be paying $2800 for Trigo's..

I own 8 Trigos. I bought the first 4 in 1994 for $1,900.00. One of those leaked a pound of air a day. I found a pinhole in the middle of the rim after submerging the tire/wheel in water. I dismounted the tire and covered the hole with a dab of epoxy. It hasn't leaked since. I now use use these wheels on the track because they do show the years of use.
I bought the next 4 wheels about 2 years ago for just $995.00, new, during a sale period. These were fresh castings. When they arrived, each had visible voids in the area of the knock-off.
I probably won't need any more wheels. If I do, they'll be Vintage units.

Trigos have "Cobra2" and a part number cast on one of the spokes on the face of the wheel. The Vintage wheels do not. Not that that necessarily matters, but it is one way in which they visibly differ.
WILL SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE ACCURATE REPLICAS OF 427 S/C WHEELS IN MAGNESIUM!!

I have had Trigo's in a 15" wiyh no problems of any kind but wanted to get into a 17" for better tire choices. Early on I worked out the correct back spacing for my application with Bob, I have the first set of white center Vintage wheels to hit the US and my set along with 3 other sets where the first sold in the US. I love them.

That's a couple of good examples of porosity. If they are gravity not pressure cast and the metal isn't really well degassed before pouring or the mould is a tiny bit dirty or damp you'll get porosity. The leaking is an inconvenience for sure but the integrity of the casting for strength and trying to balance a casting like that is even more of an issue.

I have no issues with my Trigo wheels. No leaks, no porosity, no special fit problems, just a beautiful set of wheels with no complaints.

I also have no complaints about my trigo wheels, been a long build over 5 yrs ,[ life got in the way], tires still inflated
