17 inch Vintage wheels and 13 inch Wilwoods

I read on a previous posting that there was not a true "pin drive" wheel that would not fit the Wilwoods unless there was a spacer in place. I investigated this and found this to be true for the Trigo wheels and not the Vintage wheels. I called Bob Lacy and he said there has never been a problem with his wheels fittting the Wilwoods. Well Bob was right. I got my wheels today and they are beautiful pieces of art. (Thanks Bob!). Any way I mocked up my Wilwoods on one of my spindles. They are the six piston caliber Wilwoods, with the 17 inch Vintage wheels. I measured the clearance from the very outside of the caliber to the very closest part of the wheel. The minimum amount of clearance I get is 1.5 inches, plenty of room. So if you want to run 13 inch Wilwoods and want pin drive wheels the only answer is Vintage Wheels. Here are some pictures. Enjoy

Yep, you are both right! I am using the 13" Wilwoods with Vintage Wheels and they fit just fine. Bob is a super guy that goes out of his way to make sure you are happy.
