Penetrating oil opinions
OK, getting ready to whack the knockoffs, thought I'd prep 'em with some penetrating oil a day or so prior to whacking. Research seems to show PB Blaster to be the most popular penetrating oil, however Kano Kroil appears to out perform it, in comparison tests. Suggestions? Also have heard that a 50/50 mixture of ATF and acetone beats them all, has anyone tried this brew?

If anti-seize was applied the last time they were off then you shouldn't have any problem removing them. Before you use any penetrating stuff, try whacking them "dry" first.

I wouldn't get acetone anywhere near painted wheels. I have used a 50/50 of mineral oil and ATF, or a 50/50 of diesel fuel and ATF with good success.

just make sure you "whack" them in the right direction. they have left and right hand threads in the knock-offs
