Tire Rack has 275's but they don't list 295's...do they even make 295's??

Just checker GoodYear site and they don't offer a 295 Eagle II.....sorry!!

That's where I bought my 295's. Be prepared, they are hard as a rock.

They Quit making them about 7 months ago. Clesed the molds and no other runs planned.

Best bet is to go to a goodyear store and see if they can locate any that can be shipped in (They have a better inventory network than I have ever seen)

Otherwise, a lot of people are going to the Mickey Thompson Sportsmans...

Thanks for the replies. I've got about 10,500 miles on them now. The fronts are like new, but for some reason the rears are about 3/4 gone. Wonder why.

I thought I could get a couple of sets of rears (since they're so cheap) but I guess that may not happen. I have a little time. Billboards are the next option.

The local Goodyear dealer said he didn't have 295's. So I went down anyway to buy two fronts, which he did have. While getting the fronts mounted, one of the tire techs thought he remembered a pair of 295's in the back. Sure enough, they DID have some 295's and had forgotten about them! Lucky me.

I have them on my Cobra. They are hard, and don't handle well on wet pavement (yet another incident on Friday). I need something that grips the road better. I'm thinking of some Mickey Thompson or Nittos but they are so sticky they throw rocks back. There must be something that has a balance.

I ran GY Eagle GT2's for 6 seasons. My rears were getting down so bought two sets of tires:

Set 1 GY "Billboards":
Excellent fit and grip. less darting around than expected. Takes driver input more than radilas. Picks up rocks but tolerable.

Set 2 Mickey Thompson "Sportsman S/T":
Excellent fit (1" narrower tread than GY GT2's)
Acceptable grip (better than GT2's, less than Billboards)
Fantastic drive: smooth, quiet, track perfectly (has a little to do w alignment)

Shown w Vintage Wheels

SIZE Comparison
S/T on left; Billbord on right, rears

DECISION: Saving the Billboards for track days; using the S/T on the street.

PS One on my rear GT2's has more rubber than the other. Maybe could be used for a season or two.

My CSX4005LA car has them. I looked since it was built for Mexico and they are still listed for production there on the GoodYear site. They are hard as granite, and I'll be switching to something else for next season.
