BDR in Tulsa
I am very much considering a purchase of a BDR in the next 1-2 months. My father-in-law had a FFR so I am fairly familiar with Cobra's, though I know there are many differences.
I would really like to see one close up to look at the lines, gaps, layout ect.
If you do have a BDR in the Tulsa metro area, please PM me.
I promise I will not ask to take a ride, unless you offer.
Thank you for your help.

Welcome to the forum Tulsa cobra!
I'm in Claremore but don't have a BDR, not sure if there's any around here. I could be wrong, I'm sure somewhere from down in Tulsa will chime in.
I do hang out with a group of car nuts, of the 14 in our group, eight of them have Cobra's. A bunch of us go to the IHOP cruise-in on Saturday's, it runs from 5:00 until dusk. Feel free to stop on by & say hello!
Randy

Kevin, we usually get there between 5:00 & 5:30. Most others trickle in by 6:00. The IHOP is on Garnett between 86th. & 96th. street on the west side of 169.
I drive the green Cobra, if you stop by & don't see me out by my car, I'll probably be in IHOP getting something to eat.
Looks like the weathers' going to be nice Saturday, hope to see you there.
Randy

Hey Kevin you are getting pretty close to my screen name on another site and my email address. What do you need to know about Backdraft? I know Reg Dodd and Tony Martin very well and I can tell you that they are two guys I have a lot of respect for and would not hesitate to recommend their product. However, I think that maybe James Yale has this territory.
I seem to remember a couple guys having Backdrafts but I can't remember their names.

I have been talking to Jay Linke out of Vintage-motorsports out of CT. I have seen several post saying that people were happy with their service. I did not know that there were areas that were covered.
If you have any recommendations about buying a BDR, I am all ears. I have heard nothing but great things about Dodd, but I did not know that he was a seller also.
If I need purchase one, who do you recommend, is it a regional deal.
Thanks
Kevin

A BDR dealer brought a nice selection (3, I think) of BDR's to Hallett for last June's Mid-America Shelby Meet. I think he was Texas based. Does anyone remember his name? I'll bet he's back in June this year if you can wait.

No problem, we're there every Saturday, weather permitting, stop by when you can. We did have a great time, pretty many cars showed up, not to mention the six Cobra's that were there.
See ya,
Randy

Jay is a good guy and can get you what ever you need. I am not sure how the territory is carved up but you cannot find a better Cobra for the money than a Backdraft. Their attention to detail and quality parts are leaps and bounds above anyone else. The Mid America Shelby show in June will have several for you to see. In fact I understand their will be over 2000 entrants again this year in Tulsa. Look me up at the track on Thursday thru Saturday or come by Texas Corner at the Marriott any evening.

I would still go with the Backdraft . A better car, better quality, and stable company.
Comes with Halibrand wheels, Leather Seats, painted and striped, driveshaft, battery, and a standard of fit and finish that many manufacturers over look. I have a B and in my opinion Backdraft is the best bang for your buck. Hands down. I have spent a lot of money to get my Cobra to a higher level than it came.

Clois,
I think the question James needs to be asking is "how do we get you in a Backdraft". Or maybe let me? And I mean to ask you, not the OP...

Backdraft
Once I get my coupe finished (I am completely re-doing everything cosmetic that had been attempted), I would certainly consider a BDR. I just have not seen many cars so complete and so well done. Plus, I have a very high regard for the company and it's leadership.

He has one complete, ready to roll right now and will be at Hallett in June along with a few other Backdrafts. Look him up at the website above and give him a call. There are quite a few satisfied clients in Texas and around the country with the finished product and customer service James provides.
Good luck

Kevin, welcome to the world of Club Cobra and the interest in getting your own Cobra! Glad to hear that we have a few more folks in the Oklahoma area looking into Backdrafts. And Bill and Clois are right, that's right in my area. I go to Hallett every year for the Mid America Shelby Meet in June. Last year, we had 4 Backdrafts that came from Texas, 3 of which got on the track for some fun!
I would be happy to speak with you about them and answer your questions. I have a car ready to go that is black and silver with a Keith Craft 408w making 530 hp. It only has 50 miles on her. Or, I can get you any color combo that you are interested in.
Call me sometime and let's talk. Maybe we can get you something so you are ready for the summer...
Bests, James

I just spoke with Kevin and he is a great guy. We are hoping that he will join us on the track in Hallett this year for the Mid America Shelby Meet!
See you all there!
