Thumbs up It's On The Road!!!!!!!!!

Well after 6 years, I finally got it on the road!! What a great feeling to FINALLY be driving my Cobra!!!

I may be 50 years old, but right now I feel like I'm a kid again!

Still have a few minor things to adjust and trim pieces to put on the car but that seems to be about it!

I want to say "thanks" to everybody on the forum that answered the many, many questions I had in the last year or so.

I'm also truly blessed to have such friends as Mark & Marty that have helped me with the entire build, thanks guys!!

I can now say "PROJECT SCALES" is completed.

Ye-hawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!

Randy

Way to go, Randy! I'm happy for you. Bet you won't sleep at all tonight. I know I didn't after my first real drive.

Congrats,
I know it's taken a while to build but it will take even longer to wipe the grin of your face now that you're driving it.

Randy,

I am the Lone Star Owner with the 2007 Saturn Sky just like yours. Since I finished the build I haven't driven the Sky except on Rainy or really cold days. Just a totally different feeling and even tho the sky gets a few looks, NOTHING like the Cobra. And can you say triple the power? Have fun and bring it to Austin with Brad for the Texas Cobra Club get together. Hoping we will have over 100 cobras there this year.

Larry

keep on smilin!!!

I know what you mean, I like the Sky, but the Cobra is a totally different beast! I belong to a Sky forum & there are many Sky events planned for our area soon. I've been asked if I'd be there for some of them but responded "it depends whats going on in the Cobra world. Some things just take priority.

Wish I could but I can't make it to Austin, we'll be visiting the grandkids in Alabama that weekend. For that trip, we'll be taking the Sky, hopefully we'll have some top down weather.

Enjoy Austin & post pictures when you get back.

Randy

Congrats Randy,

Wasn't yesterday a very nice day to be cruising in a Cobra?

Thanks Clois. Sure was, I'm still smiling! I turned 50 the end of last month but feel like a kid again!

When are you getting yours back from the paint shop? Can't wait to see the beast!

I hope we can get the TACC members & go on a cruise soon! Maybe head over to Steak & Shake on a Tuesday night when it gets a little warmer?

Randy

Brad,

Had some seat time last week & just yesterday. Mostly just out on some back roads around our house. Couldn't go too far, I still have the black tag on the car.

The car is great, I get an adreline rush when I start the thing! The intimidating tone of the sidepipes coming from a small, sporty car gets my heart beating a little faster. The stiff suspension and the acceleration of it is awesome! This car is GREAT therapy for me!

I'm off this Friday, so I'll be taking the Cobra to the Tag Agency to have it removed & be all legal. I don't plan on being around the house the rest of that day, if the weather is nice Saturday, won't be home much then either.

I plan on taking it to church Easter morning, a lot of people there want to see it. After church, I'll be going somewhere, don't know where yet, wherever the Cobra takes me, I guess!

I'll let you know how this weekend goes, hopefully all the TACC members can get together soon.

See ya,
Randy
