Thumbs up New TACC Member

Just wanted to let all TACC members know that Carl, aka "63mercury" here on CC has joined up with our group.

He is presently scratch building a Cobra, you can check on his progress in the "scratch builders" forum.

Carl is planning to move to NW Arkansas in spring and wants to join up with us.

I'll be sending everyone a revised member list via personal e-mail.

Welcome aboard Carl!

Randy

Welcome Carl,

When you get settled why don't you host a build day. We can make a cruise out of it and maybe we can lay some hands on your project.

Looking forward to meeting you too Carl!

Yea, keep us posted on the move process. I've already been keeping an eye on your build, very impressive. It's one thing to build from a kit, but from scratch is totally different!

If you don't have a body for yours by the time you get out to Arkansas, I know a guy in Skiatook, Oklahoma (about 30 minutes from me) that makes the same frame as mine & also makes the body. Good, quality work, too.

I didn't get to mail the member list to you yesterday but I will tomorrow.

Randy

Welcome Carl and I also look forward to meeting you at one of the cruise ins. Great looking Mercury. I like the work you are doing on your cobra. When do you expect to be finished again? If there are any parts you need I may be able to point you in the right direction or I may even have them myself.

Clois, I am hoping to finish within the next 2 years unless I can win the lotto. The Merc will probably go on the block in the spring to help pay for the Cobra. I really hate to part with the Merc, the car is just sooo differant and thats what I like, plus I built the engine very right, a nice strong street machine. I will try to post more pics next week, the coil overs and the engine are in place so now the correct mounting needs to be fabricated.Carl

Welcome Carl! I'm really impressed you are doing a scratch build. I look forward to seeing your progress and look forward to meeting you at one of the local meets.

You will enjoy both the knowledge and willingness to help answer questions from people all across the globe through this forum, plus we have great folks locally that love Cobras and love helping "newbies".

Hey Carl will you be going through St. Louis on October 8? If so why don't you stop by Gateway Raceway and visit with us at Run N Gun? I will arrive in St. Louis on Tuesday Oct 7, 2008. Most of us are staying at the Casino Queen on the East Side of the Mississippi in the Shadows of the Gateway Arch. We would love to meet you and hear about all the challenges involved with a scratch build.

Clois
