Used 17" tires near Tulsa, OK?
Anyone out there in the greater Tulsa, OK area with some worn out, low profile 17" tires? As long as they hold air, I just want to use them to make my kit a "roller" until I get closer to being done. I don't want to buy the new tires yet. I've stopped at several tire stores, and I'm running an ad on Craig's list, but nothing yet. I'll eventually run 245/45-17 on front (8") and 315/35-17 on rear (11"), but anything close to that would work for now. Thanks, WideglideJoe

Sorry I can't help you out with the tires but someone from the Tulsa area should chime in soon.
I see you have only 2 posts here on the forum, just want to welcome you aboard!
I live out in Claremore, finished my build this past March & the car has been a blast ever since!
How about posting some pictures of your build? We like pictures!

Joe,
Check with Mat Twiehaus next week (1 05 09) I believe he has a set of slicks he will be replacing. Send me a email to my office address and I will send you his telephone number. clharlan@dcpmidstream.com

thanks for the welcome!
Juggernaut, thanks for the welcome. I've been watching this forum for a while, just hadn't posted any. I'm new to forums. Been posting over on FFR's forum for a bit. Been spending more time on it, as the info there is brand specific to mine, and I'm on a steep learning curve. As for posting pic's, I've got a few, but I've never posted a pic to a forum; guess I need to learn how to do that too.
Looking forward to meeting and conversing with everyone driving Cobra replica's, whatever the brand.

I've been on the FFR forum myself, you're right, lots of good FFR info on there. The guys over there helped me out with a few questions about my build too.
You can learn how to post pictures right here on the forum, just do a search for it.
I usually go to the IHOP cruise-in out in Owasso Saturday nights about 5:00 during the warmer weather. There's usually about 4 other Cobra's there plus many street rods, classics, etc... Definitely a good bunch of people. We'll be starting that back up in March, come on out.
We come down to the South Tulsa area sometimes too. Also planning on doing some cruises in 2009. Keep in touch & let us know how the build comes along.
Randy

pictures are easy. First you gotta host them somewhere online, like photobucket. Takin them from your hard drive direct to the internet doesn't usually work on forums. Then click on this link to read how to use the IMG code to insert pictures.
