Thanks Brent, I found that out this AM. When shipped and before installation it is put on the end of the output shaft and seals the transmission so no fluid (or foreign matter) can leak out or get in at the tailshaft seal. Had me going for a while. I thought it might have been some sort of "Bumper" that I over looked, after all they use an "O" ring as one on the reverse idler shaft.
