Long Clutch

I know the diaphragm style clutches by Mcleod and Ram are very popular but has anyone used a Long style? These were pretty much the standard for a long time..I know they can be set up per application. Will a dual disc fit the Quick Time bellhousing??

I run a McLeod 12" Long style clutch with a kevlar/semi-metallic disc.
It is very smooth, holds loads of torque, but it gives your left leg a good workout.
Definitely wouldn't want it in a daily driver.

I'm thinking of switching to a twin disc for the lighter pedal, but the cost is high on those.

I'm getting ready to put an LS3 stroked to 7L in my Miata, and I'll probably go dual disc in that as I plan to drive it a lot more than the Cobra.

I have used a 10.5 McLeod Long style for many years. Originally it was a Strip setup and the pedal pressure was huge and really uncomfortable for a street car. A few years ago I sent the cover to McLeod and they changed the springs and the release levers to some with different ratio. The difference was night and day. It is still somewhat heavy but nothing like it was previously. I would be very interested if there was a Diaphram type multi disc 5" set from Tilton or Quartermaster or someone similar that had street discs available.
