Default Noisy G-Force T5

I have found this issue elsewhere on the net, but not here. My G-Force T5 has a strange sound when in 5th gear and 3rd as well (the only way I can describe it is "chinky") -it shifts and drives fine, just annoying as heck. 5th is very noticeable and 3rd is about half as much. It is more pronounced while applying throttle/torque and I can feel it in the shifter too. Talked to G-Force a while back and the guy didn't sound surprised. He told me that the OD gears are less helical and more straight cut -Nah I don't think thats it.
He said it might get quieter if I increase the ratio of gear oil (75/140) to ATF (recommended) in the box, also said if I took the gear set out they could have it REM surface treated. Well, I don't have to send it to them to get an REM treatment, there are plenty of companies that offer it. Seems pretty crappy since the trans only has 3.2k miles on it and it has done it since new. Anyone have any opinions or recommendations?
Thanks for the input.

I don't think changing the ratio of the fluid or REM is going to change anything. If it is still under warranty and behind the 482 it won't be too hard to blow it up.
