Default Looking for Trans packages?

First off I'm new to installing Manual transmissions. I'm sure I can figure it out. I do autos all day long. I'm looking to either build or buy a roller Cobra and would need a Motor and trans. As for the trans can someone tell me where I can get a GREAT deal on everything I need transmission wise. Any packages out there? TKO or a T5, but I think the T5 will be too weak for around 450hp.

Can someone explain mid shifter options to me?

Thanks

Forget a T-5 behind a 460. It's not the power it's the torque you need to worry about. I would also want the 26 spline input.

You need a new TKO600, clutch kit, and a Quick Time Steel Bell. We are distributors of all those components so I can quote if you like with the roller. Won't post here though out of respect to vendors that make their living on those parts and/or actually pay to advertise here (as they should).

Oh yeah, the TKO you can flip the shifter which moves it forward some into a more natural position. I don't recommend using the 2 forward positions though.

I don't know much about trannies that will fit in your car but I recently won a Tremec T-56 magnum 6-speed and 5.0 Coyote engine, all still in the crate from Tremec(and Ford Racing). I have a good 408 in my car so I am selling these if you have any interest.

Talk to Mike Forte at Forte's Parts Connection in Framingham. They can set you up with everything including carb to pan engine, clutch and trans.
