Default what speedo cable for KMP #174
My speedo cable, routed into the "reverser" before getting to the speedo head, bit the dust.
Only 2700 easy miles on the car, so losing the cable seems odd. What Ford speedo cable I should get to replace mine? Any thoughts about its early demise? thanx steve
(I think it came from a mid-70's Mustang, but not sure.) Sorry for X-posting. s

I would suggest you take your cable to a local speedometer repair place in Houston and have them make one for you matching the ends and length for an easy replacement. Make sure it has lub in it and install. Cost wise, it should be close to the Ford unit if you can find the right Ford unit.
