Default clutch pedal adjustment

I have a 65 FF , can anyone tell me how to adjust the pedal. It seems to have moved way out from the floor board and seems to be engaging at the very end. I have attached a few pics of hwhat I think needs adjustment.

Cal,

It seems to me you should have visible thread on the cable outer at the firewall.

The two nuts (white and blue) are locked against each other.
Wind the blue nut towards the firewall and check your pedal. When it feels ok, wind the white nut up against the blue nut to lock the adjustment.

the blue nut is pretty much all the way in, not much thread left to tighten it towards the firewall. If you look at the blue pulley, I think the cable is attached wrong. See where the cable ends, I dont think that is correct and I think thats the base of the problem.

Cal,

It looks like the cable should have a clevis or some other type end that goes in the "double hook" about an inch or so back?

I think the end of the cable is in the wrong spot also. If you look at the new picture you will see what I am talking about.

Yes, I agree. I think you need a new cable, made to suit.

How long have you owned the car?

Previous owner fitted the cable?

I can't see how it worked correctly or how the end has not pulled through the pulley?

I have had the car for 2 years now. It only had 900 miles on it when I bought it and the gentleman who built it is no longer with us. So I cant just pick up the phone and ask . I moved it to that back spot the other day thinking thats where it should be but now Im thinking it doesn't go there. Im not much of a mechanic so thank god for the forums and all you smart mechanics. Im going to move the cable back to where it was and I will take a picture and repost , maybe then you can say rather that looks correct or not...Thanks
for the help
