SPF, 3.27 gears, 315/35-17, 427W & TKO-600 .64 5th.
I can cruise at 2,200rpm at 80mph on the expressway and the motor runs smooth and has power to pull away but not aggressive passing until the R's build up. The combo will also run 4th to 157mph at 7,000.
I'd still like a 6-speed because it has the .8x and .6x overdrives. Kinda puts an end to the question of whether the "right" trans gearing was purchased.
The weight may be a concern and the length of the T56 box may cause problems with some chassis configurations.
The T56 trans may shift better than the TKO-600, Tremec says it does and the shifting is my biggest complaint with the TKO-600. That's even after a Liberty Gear upgrade.
But then your mileage or preferences may vary.
Jim

I've had both and I will never get a .82 again.
It's nice on the highway to be able to let your motor calm down and cruise at 2,000 rpms.
Now if I was a track guy, my .64 would be a total waste.

3.54 rear with a healthy cam in a 482, and I like my 0.82. My engine likes being above 2k, so it's good for my combination.

The 500 (which you do not have) has the .68 OD.

Dang... wrong again??? I went with what was on the web site.... Is it possible the M-7003-R58H is a .68????

Not just FORD got it wrong.... But so did about 10-20 other retailers. CJ PONY PARTS, JEGS, SUMMIT, FORD, AMERICAN MUSCLE, BROTHERS PERFORMANCE to name a few.....

Bad info from TREMEC marketing????

https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...#q=m-7003-r58h

Either way. Great set up for me!

Thanks
