Default pro-50 shifter Dust Boot

I am looking for a dust boot (shift turret) for my newly installed Pro-50 shifter on my TKO II trans that resides in a Superformance Cobra. Does any body have a Ford part number for this dust boot? Does anyone know what year Ford Mustang Cobras used the tremec transmissions?

I'd be interested to see if anyone has an answer to this. I just tried to install my shifter boot (std. cobra boot and trim ring) over my Pro 5.0 shifter and the boot and trim ring will not fit over the two bolts that are designed to limit the throw of the shifter (the bolts that are at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock on the shifter). Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a bigger boot and trim ring that you can use or should I just cut down those two bolts somewhat?

On my FFR I had to notch the tunnel slightly to allow for the PRO 5.0 shifter stop bolts to fit. The standard boot and trim ring fit nicely.

if I understand the problem correctly, you're having trouble stretching the boot over the stop bolts. If it were easy it wouldn't be any fun! The act of getting the boot over the bolt is only an issue because, unless you've removed the tunnel, you've got no easy way to get leverage. I think on mine, I took a big screwdriver, wrapped several layers of masking tape over the head of the screw driver, and than pryed the boot over the bolts from the inside of the boot, in other words, depressed the screwdriver into the outer perimeter (from the top) and then pulled it over the bolts.

Default dust boot

If you need a dust boot for the Pro5.0 that keeps dirt etc. out of the shifter mechanism, but fits under your stock shifter boot try performanceunlimited.com
