Default Toploader deal?

I found a toploader in the corner of a guys garage, he said it was rebuilt back in the seventies and hasn't been touched since. So, I opened it up and it was true, all new synchros, all new everything. I put it in first and had about a 2.8:1 ratio, so I am guessing it is a wide ratio. I did not count the teeth when I had it open. It has no linkage on it, he said it was out of a 64 galaxie and it had the "C4..." to verify it.

He said he would take $200 for it, is it worth it? What is this tranny worth?

He also had a Mach I sitting in the corner all original and covered since late seventies. He had a 460 in another corner, a Boss 302 engine on the shelf, two other trannies in the pile with the toploader. He would be willing to part with the boss 302 engine too, but I have no use for it as of now.

I am not smart enough to write it down, thought about it, but didn't. Won't be able to get it 'till next weekend.

I am aware it may be the defective 25 spline jobby. Is this true?
It has the smaller bellhousing bolt pattern, but he has a couple of bellhousings for it.
