Is a t-5 strong enough?
Sorry for the redundancy if you read this question in Drako's thread, I'm new here and posted my question in the wrong place.
I have a rebuilt T-5 that is that came from a 6cyl mustang, my cobra has a 435hp 351w and the specs for the T-5 look to weak for this application. The car is not rolling yet so trading it for a new tranny is an option. Would a TKO, TKOII or a TR3550 be best. The car is being built for the street and I want it easy to shift and highway drivable. I've been alerted to the modifications from G-force but it looks pretty expensive compared to trading transmissions. My transmission guy says he will trade me for what I want but I need to tell him what I need.
Also, where is the best place to get a bell housing, clutch and shifter to mate up with what I need.
Thank you very much
Terry
