Default Template for notching the Bellhousing

Does anyone out there have a template or experience with notching the bellhousing for a CSX 4000 car?

I am told that I will need to notch the bellhousing on the starter side to install the housing so it will not rub the frame.

There are some pictures on the Gashole site - look in the "Your Car" forum.

Wait till tomorrow as I think there is some housekeeping going on right now.

Here's a pic of my Lakewood BH in my 4000. Not apparently notched.

Greg, I have a Kirkham with Lakewood BH, and yes, you will need to trim the BH. I don't have any pictures at the moment, but if you are interested, let me know, and I can take some pictures and measure the trimming...we did it by guesstimation, and God smiled on us...this time. steve meltzer, "I may be wrong, but I'm never in doubt"

Look in my picture gallery. I notched a Lakewood on a 428.
